How Does a Hydrogen Bath Machine Work?

A hydrogen bath machine uses PEM (proton exchange membrane) electrolysis to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, then diffuses the hydrogen into the bath water across the session window.

The electrolysis step

Purified water is fed through a PEM stack. A voltage across the membrane splits the water into hydrogen at one electrode and oxygen at the other.

The diffusion step

The hydrogen is routed through a diffusion path that disperses it across the bath water so the whole tub saturates rather than only the area around the outlet.

Session control

A timer sets the session length and the machine turns itself off at the end — no supervision required.
