What to look for in a hydrogen inhaler.
Four things determine whether a hydrogen inhaler is worth owning — and whether it is appropriate for the European market.
Electrolysis technology
The only production method worth buying is PEM/SPE — Proton Exchange Membrane / Solid Polymer Electrolyte. It splits purified water at the proton level and keeps hydrogen and oxygen in completely separate streams. Avoid machines using alkaline or lye electrolytes — they introduce contaminants into the gas stream, require corrosive chemicals to operate, and create a servicing dependency. Every machine in our range uses PEM/SPE exclusively.
Gas purity
Look for H₂; see model documentation on the hydrogen outlet. This figure comes from the membrane design itself — not a downstream filter. If a specification sheet does not state a purity figure, that number is probably one the seller does not want you to see.
CE certification
CE marking is the mandatory conformity standard for electronic devices sold into the European market. It confirms the machine meets EU safety, electromagnetic compatibility and environmental protection requirements. Every machine in our range carries CE certification. All HERO Inhaler & HERO Inhaler Pro series machines additionally carry FCC, RoHS, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 — the fullest certification stack available on any hydrogen inhaler at direct price.
Certified flow rates
Flow rate is stated in ml/min and should be a certified figure — not an estimate. Our range runs from 1,000 ml/min pure H₂ (HERO Inhaler Go) to 2,000 ml/min total output (HERO Inhaler 2000). Be cautious of machines quoting combined H₂+O₂ output as pure H₂ — the pure H₂ figure is always two-thirds of the combined total in a correctly separated 2:1 system.
PEM/SPE electrolysis — how it works.
Water electrolysis produces hydrogen and oxygen in a fixed 2:1 molecular ratio. The PEM membrane keeps both gas streams physically separated inside the machine — the hydrogen outlet delivers pure H₂, the oxygen outlet delivers pure O₂. You choose how to use them:
Hydrogen only
Cannula on the hydrogen outlet. Pure H₂ at the rated flow.
Combined H₂+O₂ (2:1)
Y-connector joins both outlets at the cannula. Full combined flow, naturally balanced ratio. Y-connector included.
Two users, one machine
Dual cannula splits the hydrogen stream. Two people, one session. Available on selected models.
No lye. No contaminants. No consumables beyond distilled water and occasional cannula replacement.
Buying from Europe — what you need to know.
Delivery to Europe
We ship door-to-door tracked to most European countries. These destinations ship DAP; the customer pays import duties and taxes on arrival. Typical delivery is up to 14 business days from order, plus local customs clearance. A tracking link is emailed as soon as your machine leaves the warehouse.
CE certification and EU compliance
All machines in the range carry CE certification, confirming compliance with EU safety, electromagnetic compatibility and environmental protection directives. Power compatibility
All machines in our range are dual-voltage (100–240V, 50/60Hz) and work on European 230V power without a converter. A plug adapter for your country's socket type is included with every machine dispatched to a European address.
Regulatory status in Europe
Hydrogen Machines products are general wellness devices. Molecular hydrogen inhalation is not currently approved as a medical treatment by the EMA or any EU national medicines authority. Our products make no claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Hydrogen gas is recognised as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the US FDA. We encourage you to conduct your own research and consult a qualified health professional before starting any new wellness routine.
Warranty and returns
Every machine carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty and a 90-day return window from the day it arrives. Warranty claims and returns are handled directly — no third-party service loop. European buyers are responsible for return shipping costs on change-of-mind returns. Your statutory rights under applicable EU consumer law are not affected.
