What to look for in a hydrogen inhaler — and what to ask.
Buying a hydrogen inhaler is a considered purchase. These are the four things that determine whether a machine is worth owning.
Electrolysis technology
The only production method worth buying is PEM/SPE — Proton Exchange Membrane / Solid Polymer Electrolyte. It splits purified water at the proton level and keeps hydrogen and oxygen in separate streams. Avoid machines that use alkaline or lye electrolytes: they introduce contaminants into the gas stream, require corrosive chemicals to operate, and create a servicing dependency. Every machine in our range uses PEM/SPE exclusively.
Gas purity
Look for 99.99% pure H₂ on the hydrogen outlet. This figure comes directly from the membrane design — not from a downstream filter. If a specification sheet doesn't state purity, the number probably isn't one the seller wants you to see.
Certified flow rates
Flow rate is stated in ml/min. The figure should be certified — not estimated. Our range runs from 1,000 ml/min (P58) to 1,800 ml/min total output (QY-A1800). Be cautious of machines quoting combined H₂+O₂ output as if it were pure H₂ output — the pure H₂ figure is always two-thirds of the combined total in a correctly separated 2:1 system.
Certifications
For a machine you will breathe from daily, certifications are not optional. Minimum: CE. Better: CE + FCC + RoHS. Best: CE + FCC + RoHS + ISO 9001 + ISO 13485. Our QY-A1200 carries all five — the fullest certification stack available on any hydrogen inhaler sold in Australia.

How PEM/SPE electrolysis works — in plain language.
Water electrolysis produces hydrogen and oxygen in a fixed 2:1 molecular ratio. The PEM membrane keeps the two gas streams physically separated inside the machine — so the hydrogen outlet delivers pure H₂ and the oxygen outlet delivers pure O₂. You choose how to use them:
Hydrogen only
Cannula on the hydrogen outlet. Pure H₂ at the rated flow.
Combined H₂+O₂ (2:1)
Y-connector joins both outlets at the cannula. Full combined flow, naturally balanced ratio.
Two users, one machine
Dual cannula splits the hydrogen stream. Two people, one session. Available on selected models.
No lye. No contaminants. No consumables beyond distilled water and occasional cannula replacement.

Delivery
We ship door-to-door tracked to all Australian states and territories. Typical delivery is 10–14 business days from dispatch. Duties and taxes are prepaid before dispatch where the destination permits — the price you see is the price you pay.
Regulatory status
Hydrogen Machines products are general wellness devices. Australia does not currently recognise molecular hydrogen inhalation as a registered therapy.
